365 Blog- Day 1

I created this blog a few months ago so that I could share my thoughts on nutrition and healthy living. I currently work for a well known nutrition company and help to write educational documents and nutritious recipes that practitioners can use to educate their clients. I have a passion in both health and in writing; so my friends have been encouraging me to share this passion with the rest of the world.

Even with the support of my friends and family all that I accomplished was a single blog entry. When my friend Dez asked me to join her in a 365 day blog project so that we could hold each other accountable, I immediately started making excuses about why I couldn’t participate in this project. But one thing that I like about Dez is that she is persistent and eventually made me agree to it.

I first got interested in nutrition after graduating from the University of Washington; with a degree in Physiology. From there I moved to California where I got certified as a Nutritional Therapist Practitioner. My goal is to one day own my own practice, but for now I’m enjoying traveling around the U.S representing a company at our Functional Medicine seminars.

The 365 blog project is going to allow me to organize my thoughts on nutrition and prove to myself that I know more than I think. I struggle with confidence on a daily basis and have made it my 2011 resolution to overcome this. Although I was skeptical at first; this project might provide the boost I need to break through the barrier that has been holding me back.

Thank you for taking the time to read something that I feel so passionate about and supporting me on my journey for self-confidence!
