Day 40- Pole Dancing

Today Dez and my exercise consisted of pole dancing at Unveiled Fitness, which is a lot harder than it sounds. This was maybe our 5th or 6th class and 3rd teacher. The class consists of a sexy mat warm up where we stretch and do an ab routine.

Then we move on to the fun stuff, like learning how to walk sexy. As the teacher instructed us, we want to walk like we have had just one shot, not 17. We want to be loose, free, and sexy, not stumbling over ourselves.

Then onto the pole, where we practiced our spin, goddess, dirty goddess, and a few more nifty moves. A new addition to this class was learning how to climb the pole, I have a feeling that tomorrow I will have the bruises to prove it.

Not only is pole dancing a great workout, but it is also a great way for women to become more confident in themselves and their body. It teaches you how to see your body as sexy and how to use what you have in a seductive and flirty way. It's amazing to me to see women get in front of their peers and dance as if nobody was watching. I know that I am far from that stage, so my hat goes off to those beautiful and confident women out there that have overcome that fear and can be comfortable in their own skin.
